I think people are missing the point.
First of all, the debate of whether or not the ban is within city buildings or extends to all of Calgary is pointless. Looking at the social trends this city seems to follow, it is only a matter of time before bottled water is banned throughout Calgary
Second, and most important, who cares what Calgary tap water tastes like? If I want to buy bottled water, isn't that within my rights as a free citizen in a free country?
Are people who buy bottled water suckers? yes, but there's a sucker born every minute, so if they can sell it, they will. That's our free market.
