Intel(R) 82562V 10/100 network connection

Motorola Surfboard (this is the modem)

In the support tab for the NIC it says manually configured. Says connected in the properties tab.

Also, in the main network connections window, the NIC is connected and firewalled, while the modem is connected, shared and firewalled.

Any red flags?

Second possible red flag. If you have internet connection sharing enabled on your USB modem, you should turn that off.
