Well, when your dad is diagnosed with cancer (like mine) and you feel helpless.....you want to do anything you can.....buying a wristband that has it's money going into cancer research and wearing it to support your dad and others like him out there won't seem like such a 'fad'.
Not everyone who buys those things is just trying to be cool.
