The extrusion of a sharp piece of material from one of your tori is more difficult to identify, and you will need to have your dentist assess the situation in person.
Although these bony prominences are vulnerable to scratching and other injury, there is the possibility of a more significant problem in the underlying bone-- perhaps an infection, which should be properly examined.
