I know nothing I do is going to affect the game but since I can not go to very many Flames games live (long commute from Halifax to the Dome), I like to have fun at home with little things. IE -I wave the same small Flames flag during PKs during the playoffs. Why judge someone else on what they do just because it is not what you do?
Nothing I do disgusts my wife, so no harm done.

As you point out you, say the word SHUTOUT all the time when a goalie is minutes away from getting one. Guess what?!?!? That's a superstition. It may sort of be an an anti-superstition but still a superstition.
