Thats because 4 & 5 are basically shooting/action games when RE 1 & 2 had a lot more puzzle solving elements, as far as I can recall. Man those games were awesome. The newer RE's just dont do it for me the way the old ones did, when you combined the atmosphere with the gameplay. You kept wanting to go through that next door loading screen to see what was next. The new ones, like most modern games, focus too much on run and gun gameplay.
