i have no desire to install iTunes on this machine, i'm staying far away from that bloated piece of garbage. what i did use was Easy CD-DA Extractor, this is an awesome piece of software. it does CD ripping in every format imaginable, burning, audio conversion, batch file renaming, and batch metadata editing, which is where the cover artwork came in to play. fantastic editor too, hit one button and it will automatically search all the Amazon sites for the coverwork and let you choose the best one, that right there got me 95% of all the covers i needed. it also allowed me to clean up all of the ID3 info in my music collection at the same time, very handy
all in all it only took me a couple of hours with that program so it wasn't too bad. i did try an automated program before but it screwed up badly, putting black squares for most of the artwork and the wrong artist completely for others. this was the best solution i found
