My point is that Arafat was willing to sit down and try and work out a peace accord so that Palestine could get their own state.
He was/is a terrorist, but governments were forced to work with him. Considering the violence going on over there at that time....what would you do if a very strong voice suddenly rose up and said that he wanted peace?
You have to work with the guy, despite prior doings.
