I know some of my cousins have gotten married through social networks like lavalife. So yeah, I don't doubt the success of these sites.

Best thing to do is go to a coffee shop and read a book there. Seriously, it's pretty effective. I've approached a few ladies at coffee shops. Starbucks gives me the best success rate.
