I hate to say it, but I personally believe movies, tv, and video games that glorify gang lifestyle does have some part in turning rich kids to gang lifestyles.
For example, when I went through high school back in the 90's, there was a very popular movie series from HK called The Young and Dangerous which pretty much glorified HK triad gangs. Me being a young and green teenager, thought it was the coolest thing ever (yes, Ekin Cheng was my hero back then
). But of course, rationally I knew it was bad to be in a gang. But I've seen others around me that were influenced by it.
