In my second day working at Jersey City up in Sunridge. I had to ring in a vintage Leafs jersey that cost about $198.99. The women paid by debit and I enter the price into the debit machine and let her enter her pin. Finish the sale and let her go long.
When we we're closing up and creating the deposit and float, that we were OVER sales by $600 dollars. Double check the numbers and same result.
Turns out I accidentally enter $798.99 instead of $198.99.
The women came back to the store the day after and got the payment fixed up by my manager therefore she didn't overpay a jersey by 600 dollars.
Definitely one of my biggest blunders.
