You can't live your life in fear, but I think everyone in the lower mainland is a little more apprehensive these days. You never know when and where these shootings are going to happen, and who gets caught in the crossfire.
Its not like innocent people don't get hurt, they do. Calgary's had a few occassions where an innocent person was hurt/killed in this stuff. They don't affect you directly until you or someone you know is in the wrong place, wrong time.
