I caught this Iceland episode last night. First time I ever saw or even heard of the show. Seems pretty cool and I agree that the camera man is pretty damn good at what he does.
It seems that the show is less about the local people and culture and more about the local terrain. Pretty neat spin. Usually these travel shows focus on the local people and parties and strange cuisine. Departures had it's fair share of that, but proceeded to focus on the harshness of the island. When they were sitting in that boat and the piece of ice broke off, their reactions were...I don't know what word I'm looking for here... All I know is that that is a sound I want to hear.
And that caving expedition at the end was awesome.
Good show. I'll be keeping an eye out for it.
