I bought a vintage ring (30s) that was missing its 3 stones...a 1 carat with .5 carat on each side and had it reset with synthetic diamonds. The clarity is beautiful. People tell me I'd feel differently if I got engaged but I can't see all the angst over engagement rings. Guys working 2 jobs to buy unbelievably marked up rings, it's kind of sad. I sold this ring to a really grateful couple who saw Blood Diamond as well..for $600. A truly gorgeous ring .
