1. The in-turn is when you are curling towards the center line, and an out-turn is when you are curling away from it.
2. I've read a few things in the sweeping...so maybe I just won't attempt that. Its something about reducing thr friction though. Maybe melting the ice a little. That is why it keens up as you play.
3. They are strict. The rocks have electronic sensors, and if you look closely you can see the little green lights on the rocks that tell you the player let go of the stone in time.
