Sometimes I can hit 10,000 but that's in the mornings. At nighttime (neighborhood usage up?) everything slows to a crawl and I end up with 4000 KBit/s. When I plug my computer into the router, it stabilizes somewhat and I can hit around 10,000 KBit/s but even if the problem is the wireless adapter, it still drops to about 4000 KBit/s when plugged in at night or high usage times. Speaking of the wireless adapter, shouldn't a 54MBps wireless G adapter with Super G Dynamic Turbo be able to at least max out my internet connection? Is there something wrong in the interface (USB) that is causing me to drop half to two thirds the total speed of my connection?

The speeds I posted are direct connection to the router. I do have a wireless in the house though. I'll test it and post results for you when i get a chance.
