The story goes that Travolta is supposed to be very much homosexual or a bisexual at least. But he is deathly afraid of the Church exposing his secret (damaging information released is an implicit thing for people who leave the church) so he plays a very good frontman, sticking with them, and even marrying a scientologist in order to combat those allegations which have been made by several people including male porn stars.
