I had a friend who left her window openm for the weekend (this is in December, Edmonton, -50) and froze her fish in a fish tank, the entire fishtank was a block of ice for 2 days. But, somehow (don't explain it to me, bio nerds, it remains funnier this way) they melted the fish tank ice cube and brought the fish back to life.

Oh yeah, it happens. My grandfather used to freeze his bait minnows, and every once in a while some would come back after they were unthawthed.
I think it has something to do with being cold blooded. Their biological functions are not dependent on a specific temperature window. Lowering the temperature just lowers their metabolism. That is, until you go down to far and tissue damage occurs. [/b][/quote]
Dammit, what did I just say? DON'T EXPLAIN IT TO ME!
