I had a friend who left her window openm for the weekend (this is in December, Edmonton, -50) and froze her fish in a fish tank, the entire fishtank was a block of ice for 2 days. But, somehow (don't explain it to me, bio nerds, it remains funnier this way) they melted the fish tank ice cube and brought the fish back to life.
