The price isn't that bad when you consider the speed.

I have a 4.5TB disk array (15x300 GB) hooked with 4 loops of fibre channel to my work PC and that has a read/write speed of about 750/700 MB/s. I assure you this costs a damn sight more than $2K. Considering this thing is not all that far off that in terms of performance ( not to mention it plugs into a PCIe slot whereas my storage is so heavy it takes two people to lift it ) that's great performance to price ratio.

The article says the performance number it gives are not sustained speeds, so I assume those speed are from when you're working from the cache. So the biggest concern I'd have with it is how much of that speed is coming from the cache and what kind of speed do you get once you blow through it?
