In a way, the Fata is a self-policing programme. A lot of the regulars don't want to get called out so they take the time to search. I think the problem lies in the fact that some of the newer members get word of this 'fata' or the general mentality of some people who would rather derail a thread by posting about unrelated 'forum manners' and they just lurk. In the end, it's safe to assume that some good threads have never been started out of fear of being ripped by regulars here or having the thread derailed so bad that it's just not worth it. To a regular, a fata is no big deal because they understand the true context of it, and that it's usually a friendly way of saying it's being talked about.
It's the same with when you post in the wrong forum... so someone made a post in the wrong forum... then we have to sift through 26 responses about how it's not flames related when it will be moved within the next 5 minutes.
