For more than my entire life on this earth, Late Night with Letterman and O'Brien was filmed in Studio 6A and you can easily recognize. It was the basic exact same layout and never changed. It was totally recognizable despite all the new sets that went in over the years. It was always the same stage/curtains area, the same band area, the same fake window, desk, two chairs, audience, and door to the right of the host. It was a comfortable place that felt like home on TV at night since 1982. You could even count 1981 if you take in Letterman's morning show.

Get used to change, you luddite.
