Reason why I ask is because sometimes I'm at a light that appears to require a sort of trigger to go off, otherwise stays red - does this make sense? Ex: late at night, and very early in the mornings, I've been stuck at an intersection because I believe that my motorcycle isn't heavy enough to set off these sensors.
Do these weight sensors exist, and if so, are they part of these loops? I'm just curious.

I was always under the impression that the trigger is magnetic and not related to weight.
