Go to the library and rent a BBC production of whatever play you are reading. Follow the movie along with the book (actually do it, don't just watch the movie, that won't help you).
They follow the text exactly and the visuals help you figure out what the hell is going on in the book.
It takes a long time to watch the movie (you'll have to pause it a lot because you can't read as fast as those pommies talk) but it really helps.
