Two of my favorites.

REX is ignorant. To say that we must pump oil out of the ground is ignorant. For thousands of years, mankind has always innovated. REX is ignorant of the human intellect & human intelligence. If we think like REX, then we would still believe the Earth is the center of the universe. Luckily, mathematicians in Northern Egypt & Southern Spain rejected this notion by recording movements of celestial bodies.

Although the tar sands have indeed provided jobs for many thousands of people, how can you come to their defense when it is high time to invest in the future: in massive energy conservation, and in the development of renewable energy sources?
Tar sands are the dirtiest sources of energy on the planet, and we are resorting to them like a heroin addict resorts to the veins in his toes when every other vein in his body has collapsed.
