My sister used to teach at a residential school in Saskatchewan. You can imagine how stressful that was. She had to move to a different setting after 3 years.

Not that the job was not rewarding. The children loved her... and they did very well for her. But under those circumstances, she was like their mother figure...... and June was basically like abandoning 24 of your children every year. And as your cousin experienced, knowing what those children went back to in the summer was pretty hard to bear.
