Disagree. I think its pretty mediocre. I thought they were gonna try and be more adventurous with their sound again but most of this album sounds like rehashes of old U2 stuff, without any of the same passion or energy. Its probably about as good as their last album, some good moments, and a lot of forgettable moments.
I'm with you on Pop though, its a criminally underrated album. U2 was a lot more fun to listen to back then. I also liked the soul and sincerity of All That You Can't Leave Behind...but this latest one is just "meh".
