Perhaps he should do it more than in one season to be considered a top guy or be able to run the whole offense before he is labeled top ten and traded for a top 3 pick.
Thats fine, but Cassel will never win them a championship either and no matter how bad you (or they) think that Delhomme is that doesn't mean that they should overpay for Cassel.
Plenty of other guys out there that they could get cheaper to do just as much.

If you watched the pats last year there defence was painful at times. Massive injuries to Harrison, Thomas, Bruschi, Seymour, and Warren would obviously show that but still it was rough at times. Your comment about playoffs isnt really fair as they are only the second team in history to miss with an 11-5 record...

As far as overpaying for Cassel i agree hes not worth the 15 million but you can sign him long term to around 7,8,9 million it looks much better and hes young so you can build around him... im thinkin it would take about 5 years 44 million 21 guaranteed
