Not that I really care, as I don't watch golf in the first place, but you have to think that if someone who doesn't watch golf gets annoyed by the hype, how much worse must it be for those who do watch golf and are actually fans of someone else? I know my dad, for one, doesn't watch as much golf as he did even five years ago because it's all Tiger, all the time, even when he isn't among the leaders.
Valid point. I have wondered myself if the media pays for too much attention to Tiger. I believe some of is due to the way dominates the game and how much influence he has on the sport. That being said we have other golfers with great talent like Mickelson or Singh who for whatever reason are not able to challenge Tiger on a consistant basis. That hurts the game.

The game was better IMO when you had Nicklaus, Trevino, and Watson battling it out for the Majors. You had a number of great players entering a Major with fans wondering who is going to win. Today the focus is on the player who gets paired with Tiger on the last round and will he able to hande the pressure. Or how will Mickelson blow up in the final round of this Major.
