Well if she said "We'll take our chances," likely she was assuming from the outset that it was shared risk. Perhaps she saw the two of you as a sort of Parking Thelma & Louise. So I can see that side of it, but ultimately if this was her thinking, then she needed to get more of a commitment from you then you simply you not objecting to her 'our chances' comment.
