It was New Years Day (we had started some point New Years Eve), we were young and quite sloshed. As we stumbled onto the train with wine bottles oh so cleverly (at least it seemed clever) hidden in our sleaves drinking away we noticed these Transit Cops motoring towards us. We start freaking out as they get closer (it takes a while for them to get from train end to train end you understad, that distinctive waddle they all seem to have prohibits any sort of quick movement). Just as we think we're going to get busted, thrown off the train and get in a bunch of trouble...the TC's walk right by us and decide to boot two Aboriginal people off the train, they were actually way less drunk than us and were trying to argue their case...
I also once saw a TC full on tackle a homeless guy.
They also once followed me and a friend home as they thought we were "suspicious." That one was awkward.
The real cops also arrested me for "running away from them" one time as I was running for my bus, apparently being an Asian guy with (then) spikey hair is a big no-no at night. What really sucked was that, after everything was cleared up, my bus had stopped running and I had to take the alternate route which is a full hour longer.
It's why I refuse to take the trains or buses, they're way too much hassle and a lot of the people that work for public transport are just bitter jerks that try to make everyone's lives as miserable as theirs.
