VGA looks like this
It's a blue connector.
You will have to goto the bios and reenable it if it has been turned off but if you never touch your bios, it could possibly still be on and just not used since you dropped in a regular videocard.
As for your videocard, make sure you run Driver Sweeper (Driver Cleaner stopped being freeware) and clean out any Nvidia software.
1. Download the latest Nvidia drivers for your videocard.
2. Download the latest Nforce drivers for your motherboard/chipset.
3. Run Driver Sweeper

4. Reinstall Nvidia drivers for videocard and see if that fixes the problem
5. If not, then re-run the installation for your Nforce drivers
6. If that fails, then try the onboard video and swap the card entirely.
