I guess I should post these trades since everyone else has. The Habs and Avalanche have made a minor swap involving a surprising amount of players:

To Habs

Denis Arkhipov (69) - Crap, but we needed to even out Cheese Room
Michael Sauer(AHL'er) - Has a good chance to make the Rangers Defense next year
Evgeni Dadonov(AHL'er) - Was impressive at the WJC and has stated after his KHL contract was up at the end of this year he would like to come to North America. A risk/reward type guy.

To Avs

Vitali Vishnevksy (72) - Depth d-man playing in the KHL, useless after next year
Jeff Taffe (66) - Depth AHL'er who has never made it full time on an NHL team but good for injuries
Colin Long (AHL'er) - 4th rounder, good scorer at WHL level.

The swap was really Vishnevksy and Long for Sauer and Dadonov, the Taffe-Arkhipov swap was added to even out the Cheese room. We liked Sauer's potential to make the Rags next year, and Dadonov could surprise in FLA.

Thanks Pat for the rather complicated deal that works out for both sides.
