i think a lot depends on what mode you play most. interference was probably the biggest problem in the eashl. tons of crappy teams would just cross check people all game long and not take penalties. obviously, if you are playing single player mode, the computer isn't going to do that. additionally, even in 1 v 1 play, you aren't going to see as much of it because the human players are almost exclusively battling for the puck. (unless you have a person who just likes to cross check the computer guys that dont have the puck!)

the goalie stuff is a tough call. there will almost always be exploits. you fix one, another pops up. the ideal game would be one where there are no exploits but you have to actually score in different ways. but people being the over competitive ######s that you generally find online, always try to find the way they can score easiest. until you actually reward people that play honest semi-realistic hockey, the glitchers will always dominate and be encouraged. i do think the patches have brought the game closer to that way, but its still a ways off.
