lol, good post. I have to admit that I was getting away with quite a few hits away from the play under the old patch. My "be a pro" player is a power forward and I was used to just running guys over. IMO the PFs in general are a bit less effective with this new patch, greater chance of a penalty even if the player has the puck (elbowing, ect) and hitting seems less effective in general.
After playing it a bit more and adjusting my game I am taking far less penalties...but still taking some penalties that IMO are pretty iffy. It's almost like they turned up the penalties from a 4 to a 10, where 8 probably would have been about right. Moving the penalty slider down doesn't seem to have a whole lot of effect either.
I'd like to use hooking a bit more now - but it turns into a fight way too often, I guess I'll have to turn fighting way down or off.
On the whole, the game plays a quite a bit differently now.
