And for the record I think Conan will do fine on the Tonight Show. Remember that people weren't happy when he took over for Letterman on Late Night 16 years ago either, as he was a virtual unknown at the time. It's just change people don't like, that's the real issue here. Give him a couple years to settle in and people to get used to him and everything will be fine.

Agreed that he'll have to "pull it back" alot regarding all the silliness on his current show, but I still think he can keep the over-all feel of the show similar to the way it is now. When Letterman jumped to CBS and the 11:30 timeslot people thought his antics would be inappropriate for the earlier time as well, and has he really changed that much since then?
