I'm afraid I don't quite understand what they are proposing here. How would this work?
If I want to watch a youtube video of a guy getting hit in the nuts by a football, will I have to get some Canadian content first? Will every 3rd video I want to watch have to be from Canada?
I don't like the CRTC fussing with TV and radio, but at least that makes some amount of sense. If you are going to broadcast in Canada, you gotta show/play some Canadian stuff and that's that.
But the internet isn't in Canada. They can't control it and any effort to do so will fail or be circumvented so fast it'll be like the controls don't exist at all. It'll cost a lot of money though, we can be sure of that.

I've never cared for this guy so I just didn't watch his shows. I've always been given the choice. I have the choice to watch or not watch him right now. He appears to be lobbying for me to have an enhanced choice, through which my ISP will show me his unfunny material whether I want to see it or not. Thanks for the choice, Mr. Mochrie.
