Technically, Canadian taxpayers have been helping to fund a huge proportion of Hollywood films through the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit.
Basically, any film being shot in Canada - if there are enough Canadians working in certain roles on the production (which hollywood always makes sure there are), then the production gets huge,
huge tax breaks.

As for 'worst casting ever' the title has to go to Jenifer Lopez in
Gigli. I have never heard a woman utter the word 'vagina' with such discomfort and lack of conviction. And she's supposed to be playing a lesbian.
