I suppose it could be easy to figure out. (if i was good at math)
37% of the earth is land
80% of of the 6 billion people on earth live along or within 100 miles of the coasts or about 10% of the land.
Since I'm not smart enough to put in writing my math I'll take a wild stab at between 3-4% chance of it hitting a heavy populated area.
