I would say that they have a solid point there.
This is pretty stunning, but like they always say, society regularly takes one of life's most difficult tasks and lets completely unqualified amateurs do it, so props to that kid, he sounds pretty dedicated.
Wildly unprepared, but dedicated. That said though, I'm sure there are others around here who can attest to the wildly varying degrees of longevity of a child's dedication to something.
