Default U.S. and Russian satellites collide.

Well for any of those that have ever wondered, like I, why two of the thousands of satellites buzzing around the earth never end up crashing into each other, it has finally happened.

Now the question is, what next? Will the debris from this collision pose a threat to other satellites? Scientists have not been able to pin point the trajectory of the debris clouds as of yet, but are confident that they should pose no risk. They are most concerned about the ISS right now, (do they use that for anything yet anyway?) but believe it should be ok.
