There are three program option: Classic, Doubles, and Lean. Lean is more oriented to women, Classic is for first timers coming off the P90 program and Doubles is for athletes.

Regarding diet, diet overall is important, the diet plan given in the P90x is important for those who are cutting or trimming down, for those bulking up it's only the start, you need to add a lot more calories.
