I listen to it through the wireless FM and the sound isn't that great. I'm not thrilled with the idea of running the 2nd antena towards the back of my car. Is there any way you can have the thing directly wired into my stereo without having to buy a new deck? It has the "Sat" button on it.

Don't have any experience with Mazda's, but I know my dad did the very thing you're asking about with his 2000 Pontiac Montana. My guess is that it is possible, especially if your deck has the "Sat" button on it.
Just take it into any satellite radio-authorized car audio installer (even a place like Future Shop might do it... not sure about this) and it shouldn't be too much trouble.
Hope that helps.
