Since I've recently made the transition to two working computers I'm back in the LAN gaming mode. So I bought a couple of copies of Counterstrike Anthology to relive some good times playing the game.

Now there's installation which I don't remember being anywhere near this annoying. One copy is sort of up and running but only left handed even though the thing is set to right handed. One copy takes three or four times to even load.

I've reinstalled them both at least 4 times with no better results.

I seem to remember having to put some patch into these games but surely with this being such an old game they have fixed that by now. Or are these just the same old game repackaged?

I've gone through the whole preload/ready update thing more than once and that isn't helping either.

Any help would be appreciated.
