At first I thought that this boy must have been 6 or 7, but he was 12 years old. Did she really think that her son wouldn't be able to figure a way out of the basement at 12?
This womens actions/comments are absolutely brutal. She deserves death in my opinion. No one that stupid and ignorant should be allowed to live. This was no accident, it is almost akin to murder.
