NOT TRUE. Tungsten is brittle, you can snap the ring with a pair of pliers. Trust me, I found out the hard way.

There are absolutely no rings that would require your finger to be removed to get the ring off. Not only did I snap my tungsten ring off when I broke my finger, I've asked ER doctors, nurses, and paramedics, and they've all said the same thing- they've never NOT been able to remove a ring.

I have no idea where this rumor started, but I suspect it has something to do with tungsten and titanium being cheaper than gold (in some cases) and platinum...and the companies not appreciating the extra competition.

One thing to consider with Tungsten is that it cannot be sized, period. If something changes, you're stuck with it.



The "incident" with the Diamond Exchange- the owner was home-invaded, they tied up his son and buddies in the basement, took the owner to his store, made him open it and robbed it. Left him tied up at the store. They said the store would be closed until "further notice".
