I'd hafta agree with KL, Singapore.

Driving from Singapore to KL, Malaysia was pretty crazy.

Also the drive from Nairobi, Kenya to Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania (even though treacherous at times) was perhaps the most fulfilling drive ever. At one point, driving up a huge ridge, upon reaching the top we pulled over and had a view of the entire Serengeti at sunset. The path that we took was not well-traveled but we had a hired tour guide and driver in our "matatu" or 15-passenger van.

I've never seen soo many bright, shining stars at night, and the sky was littered with them as we drove through the night. In the distance, driving through the valley you could see the abacus trees and at one point we even saw a group of giraffes.
