About 5 years ago I was in several car accidents. Between May 15th and November 6th, I was the victim of 3 rear-end collisions--one hit and run, one in the midst of a traffic jam and a woman behind me not paying attention, and the third I had someone pull out and cut me off (I stopped in time, the person behind me didn't.)
By the third one, I had some pretty wicked whiplash/soft tissue damage. I went through physical therapy, I tried facet nerve block injections, I tried massage, chiropractors, heat and cold therapy, medications, etc, and it's never gotten better. Eventually the doctor told me I'd just have to get used to it, more or less. Sometimes I wonder if it's worse than I once thought, because every so often, my arms/hands will go cold/numb, and that kind of worries me, because it seems to happen more as time goes on.
