I think you are missing the point. A private clinic doesn't mean you have to always pay out of pocket. Public monopoly, in anything, means wasted funds and bad service. Never fails
What we REALLY need in Canada is private delivery of service with public coverage!!!
That is how it is done in many CIVILISED places like here in Japan. MRI's can be done in hours here. Not months.
