After a work trip I took to Mexico City a few years back, I developed severe pains in my gut and then came the "red stream". I self-diagnosed myself (along with the help of my then girlfriend) by surfing the web. I was 100% sure that I had a parasite, and was freaked out by all the potential implications of as much. After a very traumatizing 6 hours in the waiting room, the doctor checked me out and quickly came to the conclusion that....





... I'd eaten too many red beats with dinner the night before, which can apparently change the color of your urine (as can red cabbage).

Without a doubt you have a parasite that crawled up your pee-pee. The doctor's will have to use a catheter to extract the little bugger, and he's probably got spines all over him so he'll rip up your urethra on the way out. Should be quite lovely. I'm not sure if you could do it yourself, I've never tried.

Seriously.. go to a freaking doctor!
